Pisanki Polish Easter Egg Decorating Class Offered
The Polish American Foundation of Connecticut is offering a class on creating Pisanki – traditional decorated Polish Easter eggs.
There will be classes held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 and Sunday, July 7th. Both are at 2:00pm.
No artistic ability is needed to attend the class, says the Foundation. The Foundation also says that, “The material fee includes all class supplies with wax and tool to take home.”
The Foundation says that, “Children 8 years and older are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.”
The fee for the class is $15 for Polish American Foundation members and $20 for non-members. Registration can be done through e-mail at [email protected].
The Foundation says that class sizes are limited and that no walk-ins are allowed.
The Polish American Foundation of Connecticut is located at 27 Grove Hill, off of West Main Street.
The Foundation says that, “Our purpose is to cultivate and promote Polish culture and immigrant heritage in the state of Connecticut,” and also says that its
mission is to serve the community by improving access to social services, to educational and career opportunities for immigrants, Polish Americans and others, and by promoting Polish cultural heritage and inter-ethnic understanding. While our special focus is on promoting Polish cultural heritage and assisting new immigrants, we serve all ethnic groups and communities.
