Queen Ann Nzinga Center to Hold Youth Program Open House
The Queen Ann Nzinga Center, Inc. has announced that it will hold an Open House for its Youth Performing Arts Enrichment Program.
“Join us for an Open House!” the Center says. “Come enjoy an afternoon of food, fun and surprise.”
“There’s still time for your child to join our Saturday program for kids ages 5-17, designed to build skills and self-esteem,” says the Center.
The Open House event will be Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The event will be held at Trinity-On-Main at 19 Chestnut Street.
Queen Ann Nzinga Center says that it is named in honor of a, “15th Century African queen who protected her people from being sold into slavery. The name symbolizes the organization’s aim to empower young people with skills and experiences to thrive.”
The Center says that it, “strives to serve youth and our community at large by encouraging our youth to develop their confidence and talent and then highlighting their talents in a community focused-art-infused production for the greater community to enjoy.”
