Pathways/Senderos to Hold Annual Walkathon

The Pathways/Senderos Center will hold its 2019 Pathways Walkathon, an autumn tradition the organization has held for twenty-one years.

“Join us for a walk around the park, refreshments and a raffle!” says the organization, adding, “All proceeds benefit the boys and girls of the Pathways/Senderos Center!”

The event will on Sunday, September 29, 2019. It is held in Walnut Hill Park.

Pathways/Senderos Center, officially the Greater New Britain Teen Pregnancy Prevention Inc. GNBTPP, Inc., says that its mission is,

To eliminate teen pregnancy by addressing its root causes, assuring high school graduation, and promoting adult self-sufficiency. We provide long-term, comprehensive, holistic service by creating a parallel family structure with neighborhood youth and parents.

The Walkathon begins with registration, starting at 9:30am. Registration is conducted behind the Darius Miller Bandshell in the Park.

The registration fee for the event is $20. Pathways/Senderos is accepting donations online.

The organization is also accepting sponsorships for the event of $1,000 for Platinum level, Gold level for $500, Silver for $250 and $100 for Bronze level. In-kind raffle gifts are also being accepted.

The organization has announced that its first Platnum sponsors for the event are New Britain OB/GYN Group, PC and the Petit Family Foundation. The Center also says that People’s United Bank and the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain donated at the Silver level and that Bronze sponsors include Karen Kellerman and Peter Arakas.

Pathways/Senderos says that, “Sponsorships must be received by September 16th in order to be printed on the t-shirt.”
