The League of Women Voters of the New Britain Area (LWV) will hold its annual legislative forum for members of the public to hear from local state legislators.
The event is to feature State Representatives whose districts include parts of New Britain.
Those legislators include Rep. William Petit (R-22), Rep. Rick Lopes (D-24), Rep. Bobby Sanchez (D-25) and Rep. Peter Tercyak (D-26).
It is also to feature two State Senators, Sen. Gennaro Bizzarro (R-6) and Sen. Henri Martin (R-31), who represents Plainville, Bristol, Plymouth, Thomaston and Harwinton.
The event is to be on Saturday, January 11, 2020. It is from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and is to be held at the New Britain Public Library.
The League of Women Voters holds the annual event, at which legislators are typically asked to comment on issues highlighted by the LWV.
The event typically also provides time when members of the public can informally chat with legislators.
The LWV invites people to attend, saying that the event is, “free and open to the public.”
The New Britain Public Library is located at 20 High Street.
