Pisanki Class Offered by Polish American Foundation
The Polish American Foundation of Connecticut is offering a class on how to make pisanki, traditional decorated Polish Easter eggs.
The class is offered on Saturday, March 7, 2020 and Sunday, March 8th. The Foundation says that, on Saturday, there are to be, “two classes – 10:00 AM or 2:30 PM,” and that, on Sunday, there is, “one class – 12 noon.”
The Foundation says that no artistic ability is needed to attend the class, adding that, “The material fee includes all class supplies with wax and tool to take home.”
The Foundation says that class sizes are limited and that no walk-ins are allowed, adding, “Pre-Register by March 1, 2020 to reserve your place in class.”
The fee for the class is $15 for Polish American Foundation members and $20 for non-members. Registration can be done by emailing the Foundation at [email protected].
The Foundation says that, “Children 8 years and older are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.”
The class is one of the numerous programs of the Foundation which it says are to, “preserve and showcase Polish cultural heritage in literature, dance, music, visual arts, and crafts.”
The Polish American Foundation of Connecticut, Inc., based in New Britain, says that its mission is to serve the community by,
