New Britain Police Crack Down on ATVs & Dirt Bikes

New Britain Police Chief Christopher Chute has announced that the city’s Police are cracking down on ATVs and dirt bikes on city streets.

“For the past several days,” New Britain Police announced on May 6, 2020, “members of the New Britain Police Department seized a total of (16) ATV’s and dirt bikes that were observed illegally operating on city streets.”

“Two of these seized vehicles were previously reported stolen,” city Police announced.

Chief Chute said that, “The New Britain Police Department will continue to aggressively investigate and arrest these offenders. If these offenders take off from our officers we do not give up.”

“We have extensive videos of these riders and we are currently tracking them down,” Chute said. “We anticipate more arrests and seizures in the near future.”

City Police say that video footage is of people, “operating these types of vehicles recklessly in the City of New Britain,” saying that, “The New Britain Police Department will continue to be aggressive in its approach to stop this behavior.”
