Parks and Rec Hiring for After School Programs

New Britain Parks and Recreation has announced that it is hiring for positions in its 2020-2021 fall to spring after school programs.

The city Parks and Recreation says that it is looking for, โ€œMotivated, flexible, creatve, passionate, fun people who have an interest in working with kids, โ€œis seeking staff for after school programs at elementary and middle school sites.โ€

Parks and Recreation says that it is looking for candidates for supervisory and group leader positions, with a pay range of โ€œ$12.00 โ€“ $17.00.โ€

โ€œDaily responsibilies,โ€ Parks and Recreations says, include, โ€œPlanning and facilitating a variety of enrichment and recreational activities, assisting
with homework, engagement with students and behavior management.โ€

The program is anticipated to continue from October of 2020 to May of 2021. โ€œCandidates must be available Monday โ€“ Friday between 2:00pm โ€“ 6:00pm,โ€ Parks and Recreation says.

โ€œThe programs will follow the current hybrid learning model,โ€ Parks and Recreation says, adding that, โ€œThis may change throughout the course of the year between a traditional model of school, a hybrid model, and/or virtual
model.โ€

Parks and Recreation says that, โ€œApplication must include: City of New Britain application, supplemental questions and a letter of recommendation,โ€ with the application available on the city website. โ€œPlease submit application to the New Britain Parks and Recreation Office.โ€
