Comic Mime to Perform at Public Library

The New Britain Public Library is inviting people to a live Comic Mine activity on its front lawn this weekend.

“Join us on the front lawn,” the Library says, “for Comic Mime Robert Rivest.”

The event is this Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:00am.

“Bring a blanket for your family,” the Library says, “for a special program sponsored by our Children’s Department! No registration necessary- everyone is welcome.”

Rivest’s website says that he,

is an internationally admired performer and teacher. In addition to being a renowned comic mime artist, he is also an accomplished health, literacy and stress relief educator, a gifted mindfulness teacher, a certified laughter yoga master trainer and an engaging public speaker. Since 1990 Robert Rivest has given over 8,000 presentations in Europe, Asia, Africa and across the U.S. His mission is to use mindfulness, laughter and the performing arts to bring greater health and happiness to individuals and organizations around the world.

The Library says that, in its mission it, “ensures that every resident has the opportunity to become successful and well-informed by offering resources, services and experiences that build skills and provide enrichment.”
