From the street, the great damage to Blade Masters, at 93 West Main Street, can be clearly seen, but the car passed through the wall into neighboring Billsbury Turtle, causing extensive damage in the inside of that store.

Billsbury Turtle, selling, “a new premium fashion collection,” had its grand opening last October.

As of Friday, Blade Masters appeared to be open, with a temporary front entrance.

Billsbury Turtle, however, remains closed, both because of the need for the front entrance to be repaired and because of the extent of the damage to its inventory.

During the pandemic, Billsbury Turtle has been doing a significant share of its business in online sales, from the selection available on its website at www.billsburyturtlellc.com, but the business is left recovering because how much of its inventory was damaged in the crash.

NBC 30 has reported that New Britain Police are saying that driver of the car was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
