Mr. Alton Brooks’ 100th Birthday to be Celebrated

Revered community leader, Mr. Alton Brooks’ 100th Birthday is to be celebrated by Spottswood A.M.E. Zion Church with a ‘Drive by Celebration.’

Among the celebrations being planned by the Church are the drive by celebration, to be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

The Drive by Celebration is to be from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. The Church invites participants to, “Please meet us at 1:30pm at A.W. Stanley Park, 2159 Stanley St., New Britain (entrance at Alexander Rd.) for a police escorted caravan celebration!”

Mr. Alton Brooks has been revered leader in the New Britain community for generations. His words, wisdom and work have long been honored by political leaders, at Spottswood A.M.E Zion Church, in the broader religious community, in Democratic Party politics and in the community at large.
