American Art Museum Plans Halloween Day Activities

The New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA) is planning a โ€œHalloween Spooktacularโ€ Community Day event.

โ€œKick-off Halloween at the NBMAA!โ€ about its event on October 31, 2021.

Halloween is on a Sunday this year, and the Museum is planning activities for the holiday during the day.

The first activity is โ€œslime makingโ€, starting at 11:00am. The Museum says that there are four time slots at 11:00am, 11:30am, 12:00pm and 12:30pm. โ€œSpaces limited,โ€ the Museum says, โ€œ20 people max, $5 per person.โ€

From 11:00am to 2:00pm, the Museum says that there will be, โ€œCaricatures by artist Matt Ryan in SWC.โ€

From 11:00am to 3:00pm, the Museum promises, โ€œAdult Halloween Fun,โ€ in the form of a, โ€œBeer Grave Yard.โ€

At 1:00pm, YWCA Dance is to perform โ€œThriller.โ€

The Museum says that, at 2:00pm, there will be a, โ€œCostume Parade and Contest outside on Museum grounds,โ€ adding that, โ€œGoodie bags will be available for all costume parade participants.โ€

Meanwhile there is to be, โ€œFamily Inside Out Tours,โ€ from 12:00pm and 1:00pm for groups of ten.

โ€œVisitors are encouraged to show off their best costumes and partake in some wicked fun,โ€ the Museum says.

The Museum has a registration website for its โ€œHalloween Spooktacularโ€ activities.

The New Britain Museum of American Art is located at 56 Lexington Street, adjoining New Britainโ€™s historic Walnut Hill Park.
