New Britain Racial Justice Coalition Announces Hornet Organizing Program

The New Britain Racial Justice Coalition has announced that it is accepting applications for its Hornet Organizing Program.

The Coalition says that the program’s lessons, “are heavily drawn from organizing methods in the labor movement.”

“We are hoping to build a cohort of strong leaders,” the Coalition says, “ready to mobilize on NBRJC’s priority issues in our city and state, and bring others into the movement,” adding the topics are to include,

• How to have powerful organizing conversations.
• Charting and power mapping.
• The legislative process & taking action on important issues in 2023.

The Zoom course is to have, “five 2-hour class sessions in the evenings in February and March,” the Coalition says. “Days and times to be determined based on participants’ schedules.”

The Coalition is asking that those interested complete its sign-up form by January 31, 2023.
