Council Members Scott and Simpson Visit With Columbus Commons Residents

City Council members, Ald. Candyce Scott (D-3) and Ald. Nate Simpson (D-1) visited with residents of the Columbus Commons apartments as part of a “Here Comes the Neighborhood” event.

The event was for, “tenants to get to know their neighborhood and neighbors,” organizers said.

Columbus Commons resident Allen Hoard said that, “The event at Columbus Commons was ABSOLUTELY GREAT!”

“The service providers were informative,” Hoard added, “and the presence of City council members Candyce Scott and Nate Simpson were most welcomed.”

The event was attended by representatives of Frontier cable and Oak Street Health, to discuss their services with residents.

Hoard said he appreciated the presence of the Council members, saying that, “They listened to the concerns of the residents, actually looked at concerns, took notes, names and contact information.”

Organizers said that the event, which was on September 28th, included refreshments, games and arts and crafts.
