
Stronger Together: A Community Mental Health Fair to be Held at the New Britain Public Library
The New Britain Public Library has announced that it will be hosting “Stronger Together: A Community Mental Health Fair” as part of Mental Health Awareness month.
“This free event is open to all members of the community,” the Library says, “and will feature representatives from local organizations that offer support to individuals and families in areas such as wellness, primary healthcare, recovery services, behavioral health care, disability services, housing coordination, community restorative justice, reentry services, youth empowerment and more.”
Organizations to be involved include;
- Community Health Center
- Community Mental Health Affiliates
- Wheeler Clinic
- Hartford Hospital Behavioral Health Department
- New Britain Town Hall Community Services Department
- New Life II Peer Support Center
- CCSU Social Work Department
- Carem Deo Recovery
- YWCA
- Klingberg Center
- HRA of New Britain
- Veterans Affairs
In addition, individuals involved include:
- Karen Bernetti (Yoga Instructor | Recovery Support Specialist)
- Candyce Scott (LPC Insight of New England)
- LaToya Fernandez (Beyond Circles Center)
- Kristianna Smith (Liberation Cultural Worker)
The event is to be Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the Library’s Community Room
“Refreshments will be served. No registration needed,” the Library adds.
