On Sunday, June 15th, 2026, on Broad Street in New Britain the Polonia Business Assoc. held the annual Little Poland Festival. The festival is a major cultural celebration that welcomes thousands of people from all over the area and showcases New Britain’s Polish community. The atmosphere had tons of energy, many vendors offered authentic Polish food alongside traditional music and dance performances, and a live DJ played current American music. Â
The food was a huge highlight of the festival overall. Festivalgoers had the opportunity to enjoy some classic Polish foods, such as pierogies, kielbasa, sauerkraut, and potato pancakes. The food vendors represented many local restaurants from New Britain and other towns in the area along with local organizations that have been part of New Britain’s Polish heritage for decades. At certain food vendors, long lines and limited seating were common, and parking was often very limited at the festival, however, this most certainly did not ruin the overall experience at the festival. People still had a great time, as they bonded with friends and family all thanks to the amount of dedication that the organizers put into making the festival an excellent experience for everyone who attended.
Beyond just the food and entertainment, The Little Poland Festival demonstrates the strong sense of community in New Britain. The festival was filled with people not just from New Britain, but from across Connecticut who came together to celebrate a culture that shaped and continues to strongly influence New Britain’s history. The Little Poland Festival continues to be one of New Britain’s standout festivals each year and provides more than just food and music. It provides an opportunity for people to bond and create unforgettable memories while uniting with the community to celebrate Polish culture and tradition.
