NAACP Announces 25 Most Influential Blacks
The New Britain Branch of the NAACP has announced the 2018 Twenty-Five Most Influential Blacks in New Britain who will be the honorees at its upcoming Freedom Fund Dinner.
New Britain’s 2018 Freedom Fund Dinner will be held on October 19th.
“To encourage Blacks to continue with their work toward social, political, economic, educational advancement and the mobility of Black people,” New Britain NAACP President Ronald P. Davis has said, “25 Most Influential Blacks in New Britain will be honored for their work.”

The Freedom Fund Dinner will begin with a social hour for the at 5:30pm, with the dinner program beginning at 6:30pm. The event will be held at the St. George Hellenic Center at 301 West Main Street.
The keynote speaker for the Freedom Fund program will be Dr. Karen Dubois-Walton. Dubois-Walton is past Regional President, Past State Coordinator and currently Chapter and State Social Action Chair for the Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She the Executive Director of the New Haven Housing Authority.
Tickets for the event are $80.00 for adults and $40.00 for college students and children 18 and under. The ticket price also includes annual NAACP membership.
