2026 Polish Day Celebration at the State Capitol

State Rep Dave DeFronzo (D-26) has announced that the 2026 Polish Day Celebration at the State Capitol is planned for Thursday, April 30th in the North Lobby and South Grounds of the State Capitol.

The event, Rep DeFronzo’s office says, “will feature music from Polish singing groups and the recognition of honorees who have made a contribution to the Polish community and the State of Connecticut.”

Polish Day, Rep DeFronzo’s office says, “is held annually at the State Capitol to celebrate the traditions and serves as a meaningful reminder of Polish American history across Connecticut. The celebration honors and recognizes the heritage, culture, and civic contributions of Connecticut’s Polish American community, particularly those from New Britain, often called the ‘Polish Capitol of Connecticut’.”
