Candyce Scott and Pergola Announce Back to School Supply Drive
Council member, Ald. Candyce Scott (D-3) and Pergola Events, LLC have announced that they are hosting,
Back to School Supply Drive event aimed at supporting local students and families in need. With your help, we can ensure that every child has the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. Many families in our community struggle to afford essential school supplies, which can lead to decreased motivation and academic performance.
The distribution event is planned for Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Scott says that to support students’ needs, they are seeking donations of, “gift cards, hygiene products, and other things older kids use for school.”

Our goal is to collect and distribute backpacks filled with school supplies, including notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, and other essential items, to help the students of New Britain, CT start the year off right.
