Citizen Action Group Hosting Clean Energy and Your Utilities Community Meeting

The Connecticut Citizen Action Group (CCAG) is planning a community meeting on Clean Energy and Your Utilities.

“Join CCAG,” event organizers say, “to learn more and discuss how we can hold utilities accountable and make sure our leaders live up to their climate promises.”

The event is to be on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 1:00pm at the New Britain Public Library.

“Lunch will be provided,” event organizers say.

The Connecticut Citizen Action Group says that it, “is a statewide membership-based organization dedicated to actively engaging the residents of Connecticut to alter the relations of power in order to build a more just society,” adding.

Through its history CCAG has utilized a variety of strategies towards this end. It has included community organizing, mass canvasses, legislative advocacy, direct action, political endorsements, trainings, research, and coalition building. This experience can not be matched in Connecticut or arguably in any other state. The staff and leaders who have participated in these efforts continue to play significant roles in Connecticut and across the country in the fight to build a more just and sustainable society.
