CCSU to Host Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence Conference

Central Connecticut State University has announced that it is hosting a conference on Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence to discuss, “how AI can revolutionize and enhance both educational practices and workforce skills development.”

“The conference reflects Central’s ongoing initiative to advance Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence education,” CCSU says, “while empowering educators and students to thrive in an increasingly digital and AI-driven world.”

Keynote speakers at the conference, CCSU says, are to include,

  • Dr. Carolina Cruz-Neira, Agere Chair, professor in Computer Science at University of Central Florida and chief editor of “VR and Industry, Frontiers in Virtual Reality Journal”
  • Dr. Sherry Rankins-Robertson: Chair and professor of Writing and Rhetoric at University of Central Florida

“University staff also will lead tours and demos of the AI Corridor in Vance Academic Center and the VR Lab in the Applied innovation Hub,” the University says.

The conference is to be on October 4, 2024, from 8:30am. to 4:00pm in Alumni Hall in the Student Center.
