
CCSU Scholars for Life Series
CCSU has announced its Scholars for Life lecture series for the summer of 2025, “where Central faculty and guest speakers share their expertise and passions across a variety of fields.”
CCSU says that an upcoming event is,
June 12, 5-7 p.m. – The Connecticut Courant 1775
Speaker: Dr. Matt Warshauer, Professor of History
Learn how the Connecticut Courant provided critical insight into the events leading up to the American Revolution. Dr. Warshauer will explore important articles and discuss the early stages of the revolution, showing that the path to independence began long before 1776.
CCSU adds that,
These engaging talks are designed to explore fascinating areas of research while offering an interactive and educational experience for attendees.
Each event will include a buffet dinner served at 5 p.m., followed by the lecture at 6 p.m. Admission is $20, which covers both the buffet and the lecture. Payment can be made in person via cash or check, or online at www.ccsu.edu/conedpayment/. Please register first through the links below.
