Council and Board of Education to Meet on Schools Budget

The New Britain City Council and Board of Education are to meet together in a special meeting to review the school budget process and for the upcoming 2024 to 2025 budget year.

The meeting is to be on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 6:00pm, according to the meeting warrant, or announcement, issued by Council President Pro-Tempore Ald. Francisco Santiago (D-5).

This meetings of the Common Council are held the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 2nd Floor, 27 West Main Street. The city has said that, “There will be public participation at the start of the meeting at 6:00 pm. Individuals seeking to join public participation remotely may join the queue beginning at 5:55 pm by calling 1 (339) 209-6176.” adding that, “Members of the public may attend meetings in person or view a live broadcast via the livestream link at https://www.newbritainct.gov/meetings or https://www.youtube.com/@CONBCT/streams.

The meeting concerns the budget for New Britain schools for the budget year that goes from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
