Music Series at South Church Concert to Feature PUBLIQuartet

The Music Series at South Church is hosting an June concert featuring PUBLIQuartet.

The Music Series at South Church says that,

Grammy-nominated PUBLIQuartet’s modern interpretation of chamber music makes them one of the most dynamic artists of their generation. PQ’s genre-bending programs range from 20th-century masterworks to newly commissioned pieces, alongside re-imaginations of classical works featuring open-form improvisations that expand the techniques and aesthetic of the traditional string quartet. PQ is challenging the norms of classical music and engaging an entirely new generation of fans along the way.

PUBLIQuartet says that it, “is an improvising string quartet whose repertoire blends genres and highlights American multiculturalism.”

The concert is to be on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 4:00pm at the South Church.
