“Community Reads: Celebrate Latino Poetry!” at New Britain Public Library

The New Britain Public Library says,

Join us for treats from Borinquen Bakery at 4:30 p.m., followed by a performance from Orquesta la Yunqueña, New England’s premier Salsa band, at 5:00 p.m. and a poetry reading and author discussion with Urayoán Noel. He will be reading select poems from Latino Poetry: The Library of America Anthology. Copies of the book will be available at the library’s Check Out Desk, and participants are encouraged to read the poems in advance. The event will be moderated by Natalie Catasús and Julien Strong from CCSU English Department.
