“Flick & Float” Events at New Britain City Pools

New Britain Parks and Recreation has two special “Flick & Float” events planned at the city’s pools.

At A.W. Stanley Park Pool on July 27, 2024, the event is to feature “Trolls Band Together.” On August 2nd, the “Super Mario Bros Movie” will be featured at Willow Brook Park Pool. Parks and Recreation says the events, “feature: Inflatable Amusements, Carnival Games, and Concessions.”

Gates at the “Flick & Float”, events, Parks and Recreation says, open at 8:00pm, with the movies starting at 9:00pm, Parks and Recreation says, adding that tickets are $3 per person.

Parks and Recreation says,

Event Information:
• Flick & Flick Requires Pre-Registration online at Nbparksnrec.org
• Family Event (Children under 18 must be accompanied by parent/guardian)
• Floating allowed in pool area up to 3ft
• Including: Inflatable Amusements. Carnival Games. and Concessions

Parks and Recreation adds,

Please Note:
• All participants must wear a bathing suit
• Pool Passes will not be accepted
• No personal coolers
• No personal floats

Editor’s note (7/12/2024): Parks and Recreation has announced that, “Due to the anticipated inclement weather tonight, the FlickNFloat at AW Stanley Pool will be rescheduled. New date: Saturday, July 27, 2024.”
