The Petit Family Foundation will hold its eleventh annual 5K Road Race fundraiser on Sunday, July 22, 2018.
The race is named the, “Chip’s Family Restaurant 5K benefiting the Petit Family Foundation,” after the title sponsor for the event, Chip’s Family Restaurant.
The race is held at Plainville High School at 47 Robert Holcomb Way, in Plainville.
Registration begins at 7:00am. The kid’s fun run for kids eight and under begins at 8:30am.
The 5K Run & Fitness Walk begin at 9:00am. Participants are asked to line up for the race at 8:45am.
All proceeds of the race go to the Foundation.
The Foundation, created in memory of Jennifer Hawke-Petit, Hayley Elizabeth Petit and Michaela Rose Petit, says that, “Through the generous donations from our donors—friends, family, colleagues, and others—the Foundation has been able to give to many groups whose programs and projects benefit many and are consistent with our mission. The Foundation’s funds are given to foster the education of young people, especially women in the sciences; to improve the lives of those affected by chronic illnesses; and to support efforts to protect and help those affected by violence.”
