Eight Plays Created in Two Days Performed at HITW Aug 11th

The Hole in the Wall will present eight plays written overnight one day and rehearsed and performed the very next day.

In the unique challenge for both writers and actors, the Theater will host the two day event over August 10th and 11th, 2018.

“August 10, we’ll have nothing but a bunch of heavily caffeinated writers writing away into the night,” the Theater says. The eight writers are each being asked to write a play, the performance of which to be ten minutes.

After the, “heavily caffeinated writers,” have finished their work, the task turns the actors and directors.

The Theater says that, “on August 11, the actors and directors will come in the morning, rehearse all day, and put on eight brand new plays…”

Over the past several weeks, the Theater has been seeking the eight writers and as many as twenty-four actors to create and perform the plays.

The plays are to be performed on Saturday, August 11, 2018, beginning at 8:00pm.

General admission tickets are $15, while the senior and student price, with identification, is $10.  Tickets are available at the Theater’s tickets website.

The Hole in the Wall Theater is located at 116 Main Street and its website is hitw.org.
