The Saint James Missionary Baptist Church, Board of Education Presidents Nicole Crawford Rodriguez and others are inviting families in the North-Oak neighborhood to a back-to-school event on August 25, 2018.
The event organizers say that, “This event is for the North-Oak Community. We are giving new and gently used uniforms to our families in need of a boost before school starts.”
The event is to have free food, entertainment and activities for kids.
The event will be from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at St. James Church, at 45 Daly Avenue.
Donations for the event are being accepted at the St. James donations page. Event organizers ask people making donations for the event using the site to, “mark other and note Back to School Event.”
The event is co-sponsored by the Kingdom International Economic Development Corporation.Â
