2018 Hardware City Bike Tour to Be Sep 30th
The 2018 Hardware City Bike Tour is planned for September 30th.
The event is being hosted by Bike New Britain and Bike Walk Connecticut.
Bike Walk Connecticut says that, “Bike Walk Connecticut is reuniting with the Bicycle Friendly Community of New Britain and Bike New Britain for the 2018 Discover Connecticut Bicycle Tour.”
The Bike Tour will start and end in Walnut Hill Park, near the New Britain Museum of American Art. The event will go from 7:30am to 3:00pm.
“Enjoy the urban and rural scenery of the Hardware City,” says Bike Walk Connecticut, “including historic New Britain neighborhoods like Little Poland, the stunning residential architecture around Walnut Hill Park and of course, the acclaimed New Britain Museum of American Art.”
Bike Walk Connecticut says that riders will have three routes to choose from, a ten mile route, a twenty-five mile route and a fifty mile route. The organization says that, depending on the route, riders will, “experience four different bikeways (CT Fastrak, Hanover Pond Trail, Quinnipiac River Gorge & the Farmington Canal); and you’ll visit other parks like Batterson Park, Willow Brook Park, Shuttle Meadow, Wassel, Kenmere & Hallmare Reservoirs, Hubbard Park & Merimere Reservoir, Hanover Pond and Quinnipiac River Gorge.”
The event is planned to end at the New Britain Museum of American Art for brunch and music.
