North-Oak NRZ Announces January Meeting

The North-Oak NRZ, the neighborhood organization for the North and Oak Streets area, has announced that its January 2019 meeting will be will on Thursday, January 31st.

The meeting will be held in the lower level of St. Ann Church. The St. Ann Church is at 47 Clark Street.

The meeting will start at 7:00pm.

The North Oak Neighborhood Revitalization Zone (NRZ) is a community organization, formed under state law, that is committed to the social and economic progress in the North-Oak neighborhood.

The NRZ advocates neighborhood concerns to be addressed, and has worked to involve people in volunteer efforts for the neighborhood, such has neighborhood clean up activities.

Edgar Lopez, who is Chair of the NRZ’s Public Safety Committee has recently announced that the next clean-up event in the neighborhood is being planned for May.

The NRZ generally meets monthly, allowing area residents and others involved in the neighborhood to discuss neighborhood concerns, like blighted buildings and crime, and to work together to advocate for activities and the well being of area children.
