Halloween in New Britain
Among scary decorations, kids wearing costumes from little monsters to unicorns and superheroes will celebrate the traditional festivities of Halloween in New Britain.
In New Britain, the traditional holiday is a time for exuberant celebration and community spirit. Many people devote considerable energy to making their homes into creative spectacles, while children delight in trick-or-treating.
New Britain also has a number of organized Halloween events on October 31, 2019.
Among them are the downtown “Trick or Treat Safe Zone” event. The event is open to elementary and middle school students. Organizers say that more than fifty locations will have treats for kids, with music and dance performances. The event is from 4:30pm to 7:30pm.
Spottswood AME Zion Church will have a ‘Trunk or Treat’ event to be held on Halloween evening. “Come join us for an environment of safe, fun Trick or Treating!” event organizers say. “Or should we say Trunk or Treating.” The event, which organizers say is open to the entire community, is to include, “light refreshments, fun and fellowship. Bring the little ones,” organizers say, “12 and under.” The event is to be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Spottswood AME Zion Church at 25 Crestwood Lane.
