For many New Britain residents, enjoying evenings of live music played at the Darius Miller Bandshell is one of the joys of summer.
The Summer Music Series at New Britain’s historic Walnut Hill Park is set to begin its 2020 offering on July 1, 2020.

The music series offers performances on Monday and Wednesday evenings, from July 1st to August 31st. The performances are from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
The first performance, on Monday, July 1st, is to be by LA’s Backstage Pass. The group says that it performs music including songs from Journey, AC/DC Billy Idol, Poison, Van Halen, Twisted Sister, Bon Jovi, Ratt and Def Leppard.
LA’s Backstage Pass says that its members are Jonny James, vocals, JL Hollywood, guitar and vocals, Mike Montana, bass guitar and vocals and Rikki Thunders, drums.
The city says that a, “masks and social distancing required.”
The Summer Music Series at Walnut Hill Park is a service of New Britain Parks and Recreation.
