Racial Justice Coalition Postpones Breakfast Due to Weather

With stormy weather in the forecast, the New Britain Racial Justice Coalition has announced that its community breakfast, planned for tomorrow, August 29, 2020, has been canceled and will be postponed to a different date.

“We had to cancel tomorrow’s breakfast because of the storm conditions in the morning,” the Coalition announced on August 28th. “It will be postponed and all donations will carry over to the next one. We are looking to push it soon, so it will be back.”

The breakfast had been planned to, “get to know us + build community with New Britain residents!”

The New Britain Racial Justice Coalition emerged from the protests and activism against systemic racism in the wake of the killing of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis.

The killing of Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Rayshard Brooks, other African Americans and, most recently, the shooting of Jacob Blake, have sparked vigorous protests against ongoing racism in the nation.

“Thanks again for support!,” the Coalition said in announcing the postponement of the event.
