Healthcare Topic of 5th Interfaith Racial and Social Justice Conversation

Healthcare will be the topic of the New Britain Area Interfaith Conference’s fifth online Racial and Social Justice Conversation this Monday.

The online event is part of the Interfaith Conference’s, “Shaping Peace Together: Advancing Racial and Social Justice,” series. The fifth event in the series is planned for October 26, 2020 at 7:00pm.

Panelist for the upcoming event are to be:

  • Yvette Highsmith-Francis of the Community Health Center
  • Sarah Lewis of Hartford Healthcare
  • Valerie Rodino of the YWCA
  • Chris Porcher of CMHA

Every faith community believes that we are created to be makers of peace. Join the New Britain Area Interfaith Conference for a five-week series of panel discussions focusing on the ways the people of Greater New Britain can work together to advance justice in housing, education, employment and healthcare. Our panelists will include leaders from the New Britain business, education, health care and social service sectors.

The series began on September 21st, and has included conversations on economic opportunity and jobs on October 5th, public education on October 12th and on housing on October 19th.
