Asking people to, “Share what you can,” in the holiday season, the Hungerford Nature Center is holding is holding a Holiday Food Drive.
“Please bring a non perishable food or pet or pet food donation,” the Center says.
The Holiday Food Drive is to continue through December 21, 2020.
The Center says that donations can dropped off at the Hungerford Nature Center, located in New Britain’s Hungerford Park at 191 Farmington Avenue in Kensington.
The drop off hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00am to 4:00pm, the Center says, but not on Monday.
“Free admission with every item donation,” the Nature Center says.
The Hungerford Nature Center, one of the sites of the New Britain Youth Museum, says that it, “is home to many domestic animals and native wild birds. There is a farm-yard, indoor exhibits, walking trails, and a picnic and play area.”
