Jr. Canes Holding Cheer and Tackling Clinics
New Britain Hurricanes Youth Football & Cheerleading is holding a Cheer Clinic and its Safe Start Tackling Clinic this weekend, while registration for its 2021 season continues.
The New Britain Jr Canes Cheer Clinic is to be held two days, Saturday, May 22, 2021 and Sunday, May 23rd. The program is to be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on each day.
The Jr Canes say that Cheer Clinic is to include coaching and instruction and is, “free and open to all Ages 4-10.”

On the same day and time, the Jr Canes will hold their 6th Annual Safe Start Tackling Clinic.
The Jr Canes say that their Tackling Clinic, also on Saturday, May 22nd and Sunday, May 23rd, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, is to be free and, “open to all Ages 8 and 9.”
“Have your child get a safe start to this upcoming season,” the Jr Canes say, “so he/she is well prepared to play tackle football; well before he/she even puts a helmet on!”

Both Clinics are to be at Chesley Park is on the East Side at 95 Wildwood Street.
Meanwhile the Jr Canes say that the next date at which registration for their 2021 season is available is today, “May 19th at Chesley Park!! 6:00PM-7:30PM.”
New Britain Youth Football & Cheer, Inc., the official name for the Jr Canes organization, says that its, “primary goal is to develop our youth; who through participation in the program; creating a feeder system to New Britain High School that will focus on the student-athlete as a whole and produce successful community contributors.”
The organization adds that,
New Britain Youth Football & Cheer, Inc. is a not for profit organization formed to provide children living in the community the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sports. The program provides selected athletic activities for children ages 5 through 13 in grades K through 8.
