The splash pads water amusements available in two of New Britain’s city parks are to open for the 2021 summer season, the city has announced.
The city has announced that the summer water recreation locations will be open, starting Memorial Day weekend.
in addition to city pools, the splash pads offer a place for kids to cool down and play in the water during the warm weather months.
The two splash pads are:
- Willow Street Park, at 43 Willow Street
- Chesley Park, at 35 Wildwood Street.
City pools typically open after the close of the school year in June.
In 2020, the city opened its pools, kept the two splash pad locations closed, due to COVID-19.
