NBYT to Hold “A Christmas Carol” Auditions
New Britain-based No Boundaries Youth Theater has announced auditions for its December production of “A Christmas Carol.”
The auditions for the Youth Theater’s performance of a play based on the classic Charles Dickens story are to be on Thursday, September 23, 2021 and Tuesday, September 28th.
Both auditions are from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
The auditions are for children and youth, ages 8 to 18.
“We request that you pre-register,” The Theater and come ready to move and read from the script.”
Theater adds, “Register by emailing [email protected].”
“First rehearsal is the read through and we will go over all safety protocols and paperwork,” the Theater says, adding, “We will follow all local and state covid guidelines (masks for everyone, social distancing and mask breaks), as well as have the ability to switch to a full virtual option if the need arises!”
The Youth Theater says that, “We ask that the participation fee of $250 is paid at that time. As always, financial aid is available (partial, half, or full) on a first come, first served basis.”
The organization says that,
Founded in 2010 as New Britain Youth Theater and selected by Connecticut Magazine as Connecticut’s Best Children’s Theater in 2017, No Boundaries Youth Theater is a professionally-run community and educational theater for children and teens. The name change in 2018 reflects that NBYT is—and always has been—a youth theater that accepts children from all towns and communities, with all abilities, with all levels of experience, and to be involved in a variety of ways both onstage and off!
The Theater adds that,
NBYT is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and young adults by encouraging creative thinking and collaborative teamwork, fostering self-confidence and self-esteem, and developing social, emotional, and academic skills through involvement in high-quality, low-cost programs in the performing arts.
The No Boundaries Youth Theater is located in the South Church at 90 Main Street. The Theater says, “Please enter by the door in the lower back parking lot.”
