CCSU to Host Drive Electric Week Event

Electric cars are to be on display as National Drive Electric Week is to be celebrated at Central Connecticut State University.

“The CCSU Geography Department and Global Environmental Sustainability Action Coalition will host their 10th annual National Drive Electric Week event on Thursday,” event organizers say.

Organizers say that,

More than 20 electric cars and their owners will be there to provide information about the cars and the economic and environmental benefits of driving electric vehicles. Some attendees may be able to test drive some of the electric cars.

On display by their owners are to be a variety of models, including Tesla, Chevrolet Bolt, Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius Prime, BMW i3 and Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive.

Drive Electric Week organization says that,

Are you EV curious? Join local electric vehicle (EV) drivers, enthusiasts, and the general public and learn about electric vehicles, their clean-air benefits, cost-savings, and check out the EVs on display. Test drive an electric car, visit with exhibitors, and learn how easy it is to drive and convert EVs.

The event is to be on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. It is to be on the CCSU campus at the Arute Football Field parking lot.

RSVPs, sign-ups for participation and other information is available at the Drive Electric Week website.

“All attendees and volunteers are required to wear face masks whenever they are within six feet of another person at all National Drive Electric Week 2021 events,” event organizers say. “Please see this information about how to improve how your mask protects you.”
