Connecticut Theatre to Present “Holiday Inn”

The holiday season is around the corner and New Britain’s Connecticut Theatre Company is presenting Irving Berlin’s “Holiday Inn.”

The Theatre says that “Holiday Inn”, based on the film classic,

tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut… but life just isn’t the same without a bit of song and dance. Jim’s luck takes a spectacular turn when he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they turn the farmhouse into a fabulous inn with dazzling performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July. But when Jim’s best friend Ted tries to lure Linda away to be his new dance partner in Hollywood, will Jim be able to salvage his latest chance at love?

The cast for the play includes Chris Corrales as “Jim Hardy”, Stephen Michelsson as “Ted Hanover”, Julie Carvalho as “Lila Dixon”, Mitch Hess in the role of “Danny”, Grayson Howard as “Charlie Winslow”, Ariana Straznicky-Packer as “Linda Mason” and Michelle Johnston in the role of “Louise”.

The Theatre says that the play’s ensemble includes, “Sharon Amundsen, Jodi Dickson, Galen Donovan, Nancy Ferenc, Ralene Goff, Leah Herde, Natalia Katz, Paul Kornman, Julia Leba, Rebecca McLean Rudolph, Bonnie Rae Sprague, Kim Saltzman.”

The play opens on December 3, 2021 and continues to December 19th.

The Connecticut Theatre Company says it, “was formed in 2013 by the members and directors of two local community theatre groups, Bristol Theatre Arts and the New Britain Repertory Theatre group.”

Saying that it is, “a 100% volunteer-based organization,” the Theatre says it, “is a performing arts group that is dedicated to entertaining, educating and supporting our community.”

“While all theatres are based around performing arts, Connecticut Theatre Company is dedicated to finding and pursuing opportunities to partner with other entities for the betterment of the community,” the Theatre says.

The Connecticut Theatre Company is located that the The Repertory Theatre in New Britain at 23 Norden Street.
