World Premiere of “Space Cannibals” at Hole in the Wall Theater
The Hole in the Wall Theater is to present the world premiere of the new comedy play “Trouble With Space Cannibals”.
John Bosco, on the Theater’s blog, says that the new play, written by Bill Arnold and Scott Stephen Kegler, is a, “show that you can really sink your teeth into (quite literally for some characters). Bosco says, “From the delightfully twisted minds that brought you Final Arrangements, School for Manners, Lint! The Musical, and Whacked!, Scott Stephen Kegler and Bill Arnold are boldly going where no theater has gone!”
The play, the Theater says, “The show takes place on the deck of the fictional starship, The LeVar Burtonne,” an apparent allusion to LeVar Burton, who starred as Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge in The Next Generation part of the Star Trek universe.
The Theater says that the comedy, “tells the cautionary tale of poor managerial skills amongst starship officers. It’s Star Trek – meets Office Space – meets Lord of the flies.”
The cast for the play includes Emily Trudeau as “Captain Taryn Estranger”, Barbara Gallow as “Science Officer Wendy Mansplain”, Corey Mason playing, “Communications Officer Toto Claro,” Roy Donnelly as “Chief Medical Officer Kilroy”, Tim Adams playing “Sofaa Pulout”, Ed Bernstein as “Mason”, Ken Schroeder as “Engineer” and “Commodore”, Andrea Feder as “Ensign 1”, “Simone” and “Cannibal” and Dave Carter as “Ensign 2”, “Security” and “Cannibal”.
“Trouble With Space Cannibals” premieres on February 25, 2022 and continues to March 12th.
