CCSU Investigating Potential Food Poisoning at Campus Café

Central Connecticut State University says that it is investigating potential food poisoning at its Hilltop Café.

The University, in a statement, says that its, “university Environmental Health & Safety Department is working with the City of New Britain Department of Public Health and food service provider Sodexo,” in the health investigation.

“Students can get services for any symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, and stomach upset at the Student Wellness Center,” the University says. “Students can be seen by university health services professionals at NO charge for office visits.”

Providing an, “Appointment line: (860) 832-1926,” CCSU adds that, “There are also some CDC resources on the health topic that may help affected students at https://www.cdc.gov/foodsafety/symptoms.html.”

CCSU says that the Hilltop Café is closed while health officials investigate, noting that the closure is temporary and that, “The other cafeterias are open.”
