The 2025 New Britain Dożynki Festival, the traditional Polish harvest festival is being planned, and organizers say that the celebration is, “back on Broad Street after 30 years” – returning to New Britain’s vibrant Broad Street “Little Poland” neighborhood.
“The New Britain Dozynki (Polish Harvest Festival) is coming back to Broad Street and Little Poland!” organizers say, “Join us on Sunday, September 7th, to celebrate this cherished local tradition.”
The Dożynki Festival is a vibrant cultural celebration, with music, dancing and, of course, delicious food. “Dożynki is the traditional Polish harvest celebration, giving thanks for a bountiful harvest,” Festival organizers have said.

The 2025 Dożynki Festival is being planned for September 7th, from 11:30am to 8:00pm.
“The festivities will commence with a Dozynki mass (in Polish) at Sacred Heart Church, 185 Broad Street,” Festival organizers say, “followed by a free, outdoor festival right next door at the Haller Post, which will feature Polish food, beer, live entertainment, and dancing.”
For 30 years before this year, the Dożynki Festival has been celebrated at Falcon Field on Farmington Avenue.
“The festival will end with a grand finale concert featuring the TABU reggae-pop band from Poland at the Haller Post ballroom,” Festival organizers say. The event is a ticketed event.
New Britain is widely recognized as one of the key centers of Polish culture in the United States, and people travel from across Connecticut and the larger region to attend cultural events in New Britain and visit Little Poland on Broad Street.
