2026 New Britain Dożynki Festival Planned

The 2026 New Britain Dożynki Festival, the traditional Polish harvest festival is being planned.

“The tradition of Dożynki,” organizers say, “the Polish Harvest Festival, has been celebrated in New Britain for over 40 years. This annual event marks the conclusion of the harvest season and remains a cherished local tradition, honoring the rich cultural heritage of our city and the broader community across the state.”

The Dożynki Festival is a vibrant cultural celebration, with music, dancing and, of course, delicious food.

The 2027 Dożynki Festival is being planned for August 29th to 30th.

“The celebration will begin with a traditional Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday, August 29, followed by artistic performances, exhibits, and live entertainment, and featuring wide variety of Polish cuisine,” Festival organizers say. “The festivities will continue on Sunday, August 30.”

Festival organizers at the Polish American Foundation of Connecticut are seeking sponsors for the Festival.
