U.S. Rep. Hayes to Speak at NAACP #WeAreDoneDying Town Hall
United States Representative Jahana Hayes (D-5) will address the NAACP Virtual Town Hall Conversation that is being held to start discussions on a New Britain Black Community Agenda.
The online event is to be Tuesday, June 2, 2020, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.
Hayes will be joined in speaking at the Town Hall event by,
- Chris Porcher, the 2019 Democratic Mayoral nominee.
- Rev. Samuel Blanks, Pastor of Spottswood A.M.E. Zion Church.
- Rev. Dr. John W. Walker, Pastor of Saint James Missionary Baptist Church.
- Ald. Manny Sanchez (D-AL), the Democratic Leader of the City Council.
Veronica T. DeLandro will be the Moderator of the online event.
The NAACP New Britain Branch says that event, “Participants will be encouraged to participate on committees to establish a New Britain Black Community Agenda 2020 – Public Health, Economic Development, Education, Housing, Voting/Census, Criminal Justice.”
