Early voting in the 2025 city elections begins this week at two locations in the city, where voters may cast ballots for mayor, City Council, Board of Education and other city offices.
Early voting is available at the New Britain Senior Center and CCSU Memorial Hall on:
- October 20th, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- October 21st, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- October 22nd, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- October 23rd, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- October 24th, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- October 25th, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- October 26th, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- October 27th, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- October 28th, from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
- October 29th, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- October 30th, from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
- October 31st, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- November 1st, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- November 2nd, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
New Britain’s Registrars of Voters point out that voter registration is available during the early voting period, saying, “Same Day Registration (in-person and receiving a ballot) is available during the early voting period. ID and proof of residency is required.”
The Senior Center is at 55 Pearl Street and CCSU Memorial Hall is on the CCSU campus at 1615 Stanley Street. The CCSU location is in the Student Center Lounge and Study Rooms.
The Registrars of Voters say that, for new voters, the deadline for voter registration is Friday October 17th:
- In-Person by 8:00pm at the Registrars of Voters office, which is located in City Hall Room 507.
- In-Person at the DMV by close of business, or
- Online by 11:59pm at https://voterregistration.ct.gov/OLVR/welcome.do.
The Registrars of Voters add that, “Mail-in registrations must also be received or post-marked by October 17th.”
After the registration deadline, those eligible to vote may still register and vote on election day. The Registrars say that, “On Election Day: Same Day Registration (in-person and receiving a ballot) will be available in City Hall Room 108 from 6 am – 8 pm. ID & proof of residency is required.”

Election day is November 4, 2025, from 6:00am to 8:00pm, at voters’ regular or temporary voting places, for registered voters who have not already voted by election day.
