CCSU and New Britain Public Library to Host Screening of “TCB: The Toni Cade Bambara School of Organizing”

Central Connecticut State University’s Division of Campus & Community Engagement is partnering with the New Britain Public Library for a special screening of TCB: The Toni Cade Bambara School of Organizing, about artist and activist Toni Cade Bambara.

Bambara, the Library says was, “an influential writer and cultural worker whose works helped define Black Arts and feminist movements in the United States.”

“This 2025 documentary,” the Library says, “was made by Louis Massiah and Monica Henriquez and features stories about Toni Cade Bambara as told by her friends, colleagues, and students.”

The screening is to be at the Library at 20 High Street on Thursday, September 10, 2026. It will be shown from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.

After the film, the Library says that there is to be a panel discussion and refreshments provided by the Library.
