Locally Made Film “Dominic” at OIC Oct 5th

“Dominic,” a short film written, produced and directed by local filmmaker Torrence Conaway, will premiere on October 5, 2018. The film focuses on issues of domestic violence.

The premiere will be held at the Opportunities Industrialization Center of New Britain (OIC).  OIC is located at at 114 North Street.

The film, "Dominic".Conaway says that, “The scripted short film highlights domestic violence as seen through the eyes of the main character, Dominic.”

“The purpose of the film,” he said, “is to give the audience insight into the complexities of domestic violence from a visual perspective.”

The film was not only only created by the New Britain filmmaker, but also with local actors and crew members.

The event will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Admission is for a $20 donation.

The film screening will begin at 6:00pm. A question and answer session with the film’s cast will be from 6:25pm to 6:45pm.

Conaway says that, after the premiere, the film will be made available on Vimeo.

The filmmaker also says that a digital series based on “Dominic” will begin production in the autumn of 2018.
