A video on social media that appears to show a police officer punching someone he was apparently arresting has sparked controversy online.
Two separate videos, apparently of the same incident, from two different angles appear to show a police officer punching a person during what appeared to be an arrest.
The video sparked considerable controversy and outrage in online comments, though little information was available about the incident from witnesses.
The New Britain Police Chief Christopher Chute has not replied to a request from the New Britain Progressive for comment on the incident as of the publication of this article.
