Police to Have Online Story Time During COVID-19 School Closing

During the COVID-19 school closing, the New Britain Police have announced an online story time reading for children for each night while school is out.

“Join us at 7:30 pm each weeknight while school is out for a bedtime story!” say New Britain Police.

The story time reading of childrens’ books is to be each weekday night while school is out due to coronavirus. The reading event is to begin tonight, March 16, 2020, with books read by Police Chief Christopher Chute and another police officer.

The online event is to be by video at the New Britain Police facebook page.

Chief Chute stresses that the reading is online only and that, in keeping with “social distancing” called for to limit the pandemic, families should not come to the Police Headquarters during the bed time book reading.
